From the Founder
I created Vitamin Tallow Cream for skin I wanted to give something more than nourishment alone.
Tallow is a fantastic cosmetic base for me, but with this cream I wanted to combine traditional skincare with one truly valuable active ingredient.
That's why I reached for Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate – a stable, lipid form of vitamin C.
The fat-soluble form mattered to me, because it fit perfectly into a waterless formula based on tallow and oils. I used it at 5% – not a token addition just so I could write "with vitamin C" on the label, but a real, working part of the recipe.
I also chose two oils that felt just right for the character of this cream – cacay and arctic cranberry.
Cacay caught my attention as an exceptional oil for mature skin care, and cranberry for its rich lipid profile. But I didn't want to build a long list of trendy ingredients. I wanted each one to have a concrete reason to be here.
I also love using Vitamin Tallow Cream under my eyes. I often get asked whether our creams can be applied in that area, so with this product I want to say it clearly – yes, you can also use it to care for the skin under your eyes. I finished it all with bergamot and orange. Their fresh, citrusy aroma felt just right for a cream whose job is to bring a bit more energy and glow back into your skincare.
For me, Vitamin Tallow Cream shows that tradition and modern ingredients don't have to be at odds. You can start with a simple, traditional fat and combine it with a modern form of vitamin C. But only when it truly makes sense.
